🌍 Eligibility

The International Hackathon for STEM is a global event dedicated to fostering inclusivity and collaborative innovation.

  • Who can participate: This event is open to students, researchers, developers, engineers, and STEM enthusiasts from all backgrounds and geographies.

  • Age Requirements: Participants must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 13, please contact the organizing team at [rajkapoorgautam77@gmail.com] for a parental consent waiver form.

  • Team Formation: Participants may register as individuals or as teams of 2 to 10 members. We encourage multidisciplinary teamsβ€”a mix of coders, designers, and domain experts (scientists/engineers) makes for the strongest projects!

  • Exclusions: Organizers, judges, and immediate family members of the core organizing committee are not eligible to compete for prizes.

  • Code of Conduct: All participants must adhere to our [Code of Conduct Link]. Any form of harassment, discrimination, or unethical behavior will result in immediate disqualification.

πŸ“ Project and Submission Requirements

To ensure a fair and competitive environment, all projects must adhere to the following standards:

1. Development Rules

  • Originality: All work, including code, design assets, and scientific modeling, must be created during the hackathon timeframe.

  • Use of Existing Tools: While you cannot use pre-built projects, you are encouraged to use open-source libraries, frameworks, APIs, and SDKs. If using third-party resources, ensure they are publicly available or you have the necessary licenses.

  • Transparency: If your project builds upon an existing open-source tool, you must clearly document which parts were newly developed during the hackathon versus which parts are pre-existing.

2. Submission Deliverables (via Devpost)

To be considered for judging, your team must submit the following through the Devpost portal by the deadline:

  • Project Details: A project name, the tagline ("Code the Chaos, Create the Future"), and a description outlining the problem, the solution, and the STEM principles involved.

  • Public Repository: A link to a public GitHub/GitLab repository containing your source code and a README.md file explaining how to run or replicate your project.

  • Demo Video: A maximum 2-minute video demonstrating your working prototype. Your video should explain:

    1. The problem you are solving.

    2. A quick walkthrough/demo of the solution.

    3. The technologies or scientific methods used to build it.

  • Final Pitch: Ensure all team members are listed on the Devpost project page to receive credit.
